IN-RUNNING TRADING HINTS

WE have already looked at Man United’s poor record away at the Big Four, but it’s always worth remembering that it is still Man United we’re talking about and that Sir Alex Ferguson is calling the shots. He is one of the greatest managers of all time and will want to get one over on Carlo Ancelotti at an early stage.

It’s true that United’s record at Stamford Bridge isn’t strong, but they have tended to be the first on the scoresheet recently against Chelsea. In the past seven games between the two sides across all competitions, United have taken the lead in six of them, including this fixture last season, but have only managed to win two in 90 minutes. The Chelsea rearguard is particularly strong on home soil, but if they did fall behind in the first half where would that leave us?

Well, it is no easy task to score two against United after going one down, so rather than back Chelsea to win I’d be happier to lay the champions straight away. We would be laying them at a short price with both the Chelsea win and draw running for us.
