US bond investors will today be steeling themselves for a tense week, with all eyes on the record £75bn (£45.5bn) in debt sales by the US Treasury and the Federal Reserves policy meeting, which finishes tomorrow. The sale is set to open around two hours before the end of the two-day meeting, and traders fear it could result in diminished demand for the $23bn new notes up for auction tomorrow.
