Prize money boost for racing

HORSE RACING: Prize money contributions are expected to rise by £5m next year after 27 courses committed to injecting an agreed proportion of their earnings. Ascot, Newmarket and York are among those who have signed up to making a contractual minimum payment to prize funds.
