Premier League betting tips: Liverpool strikers can profit fromCottagers’ leaky defence

IT’S BEEN a near perfect week for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.

A potentially tricky fixture with Burnley in the Premier League last Sunday was taken care of without too much bother and then a brilliant away performance in Munich saw the Reds through to the Champions League quarter-finals.

While they are by no means firing on all cylinders, Liverpool can take great confidence from the fact they have got through two tough fixtures which if they had lost would have seriously damaged their season.

In particular, Mohamed Salah has struggled to find his goalscoring boots in recent weeks, with just one goal in his last seven league matches.

You feel the Egyptian is crucial to Liverpool’s trophy chances for the rest of the season and Reds fans will be anxious for him to get back to the devastating form of last season.

That form may just return this weekend because if Salah were to choose a defence to stop the rot against it would almost certainly be Sunday’s opponents Fulham.

Many had high hopes for the Cottagers on their return to the Premier League, but while they’ve been decent going forward, their porous defence has cost them time-and-time again.

Their net has been breached a staggering 68 times so far this season, comfortably the most in the league and you’d have to think Salah and Co will be licking their lips at the thought of tearing Fulham to shreds.

What’s more, Liverpool simply have to win this to keep pace with leaders Manchester City and with their goal difference currently seven behind Pep Guardiola’s men, they’ll be hoping to make serious inroads, with City in FA Cup action.

Fulham have lost their last six in the league, three of which have been to nil and I fancy Klopp’s side to go back to the top of the table in style at 11/10.

POINTERS SUNDAY

Liverpool to win to nil 11/10
