Oxford Instruments in sales lift

Oxford Instruments, which makes high-tech tools for industry, said yesterday that it had made a strong start to the year with sales of products ahead of the previous year. The company said that it had performed well in the three months from 1 April. It said in a statement: “Our markets remain strong despite continued economic uncertainty, particularly in Europe.”
