THE WHITE GUARD
Following the success at the National Theatre of last year’s tales of communist Russia, Burnt by the Sun and Tom Stoppard’s Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, comes Mikhail Bulgakov’s The White Guard. A lesser-known work by the Master and Marguerita author, adapted by Andrew Upton, it’s a story of the madness of life during the Russian Civil War. Until 15 June, National Theatre Lyttleton, Southbank, SE1 9PX. Tickets from £10 from www.nationaltheatre.org.uk.

FAMILY WEEKEND AT SADLER’S WELLS
The dance theatre is taking its usual adventurous approach to family entertainment over Easter. Its Family Weekend is a two-day extravaganza of performances, games and workshops, with a centrepiece show, Clouds by the Spanish group Aracaladanza, inspired by Surrealism. 2-3 April, Sadler’s Wells Theatre, EC1R 4TN. Tickets £15 from www.sadlerswells.com.

PERSONAL STYLING AT THE WESTFIELD
West London’s shopping mecca is now home to its very own personal styling suite, where you can treat yourself or someone special to a session with celebrity fashion stylist Gayle Rinkoff. Packages range from a full day session for £500 to a one-hour consultation for £150. For more information, visit www.westfield.com/thevillagelondon.
