ED RUSCHA AT THE HAYWARD
Ed Ruscha is one of the most influential artists of the past half-century. This exhibition, which spans his career, is the first retrospective to focus exclusively on his paintings. The show looks at how American pop culture inspired him, from his paintings of shop fronts and sign boards, to logos, including 20th Century Fox and the Hollywood sign on Hollywood Hills. METAMORPHOSIS AT SADLER’S WELLS
The first part of this beautiful show, being staged at Sadler’s Wells bythe acclaimed Wheeldon Company is a celebration of Les Ballets Russes and includes a new work by Australian star choreographer Tim Harbour as well as a piece created for the Bolshoi set to the music of Ravel. The second half includes a world premiere set to Suites for Two Pianos by Rachmaninoff.
