PRIVATE LIVES TO OPEN AT VAUDEVILLE
Noel Coward’s play is sure to be a hit when it opens next week, starring Sex and the City’s Kim Cattrall and Spooks’ Matthew McFadyen. It is the story of Elyot and Amanda, who were formerly married. Now both are honeymooning with their new spouses and run into each other. Without a care for scandal or anything else, their passion is reignited. Opens 3 Mar, runs until 1 May. Tickets £5.90-£55.50. 404 Strand, WC2R 0NH. www.vaudeville-theatre.co.uk.

BOOK SWAP AT POTTERS FIELDS PARK
Now here’s a worthy event if ever there was one. In honour of World Book Day on 4 March, Team London Bridge is holding a two-day lunchtime book swap, open to local residents, employees and anyone passing through the area, in Potters Fields Park next to City Hall. It is thought that 500 books will be exchanged over the course of the event and you’re sure to find some gems. Potters Fields Park, SE1. 12- 2pm on 3 and 4 Mar.

CINDERELLA ON ICE AT ALBERT HALL
The Albert Hall’s arena floor will be frozen over for only the second time in its history, on this occasion to host a show by the Imperial Ice Stars. Set in frozen Siberia, it unfolds against an Art Deco set. The production features some gob-smacking moves from world-class skaters, including Olympic gold medallist Evgeny Platov, aided and abetted by a 20-piece live orchestra. Until 28 Feb, tickets £15.50-£52.50. Kensington Gore, SW7 2AP, tel: 020 7589 8212.
