In case you didn’t notice, there’s a general election on. That makes it a good moment for a revival – at the City’s Bridewell Theatre – of Steve Thompson’s rip-roaring dissection of Westminster double dealing and dirty tricks. Set just after a general election that’s returned the Tories to power with a tiny majority, the play is rife with rebellious backbenchers, backstabbing Chief Whips and cutting comedy. 13-17 April, Bridewell Theatre, 14 Bride Lane, EC4Y 8EQ. Tickets, £11 from www.towertheatre.org.uk

CIRCUSFEST AT THE ROUNDHOUSE
The Camden venue is perfect for a festival of cutting edge circus performance. Running for the next five weeks, CircusFest 2010 features Australian avant-garde circus act Acrobats, and performance artist Marisa Carnesky. Until 17 May, the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm Road, NW1 8EH. For full line-up, information and tickets see www.roundhouse.org.uk.

RON ARAD AT THE BARBICAN
The first major exhibition of the avant-garde designer, Ron Arad: Restless, features works ranging from his early post-punk work, though all kinds of shing, bendy chairs and a new installation making innovative use of LED lighting. Arad, who was born in Israel and has lived in London for 35 years, says that he hopes the exhibition will attract people who are “interested in things”. If that’s you, then get along there. Until May 16, Barbican Art Gallery, Tickets £8, see www.barbican.org.uk
