Weston Homes has bought the legendary Denham Film Studios in Buckinghamshire, and is transforming the studio once used by Hollywood film directors into a £120m Art Deco residential address.

Directors including Stanley Kubrick and Steven Spielberg have used the site for crafting their blockbusters – and soon you could live there.

The "mini-Beverly Hills" will provide 224 converted and newly-built homes, with prices up to £1.5m. This will include 154 one, two and three bedroom apartments and 70 townhouses.

The centrepiece of the development will be the Film Laboratories – a Grade II listed Art Deco building built in 1936 designed by Walter Gropius for the film producer Alexander Korda.

It was once the head office and film laboratory where countless Oscar winning films were first screened to directors.

Other features will include a restored cinema with a car and a community hall, doubling as a fitness space.

Bob Weston, chief executive officer of Weston Homes said: "For almost 80 years the Denham Film Studios played a central role in the history of Hollywood and British movie making.

"With its iconic Art Deco centrepiece, the retained and restored cinema once used by Hollywood directors and its illustrious history this is without doubt the most exciting glamorous and unique restoration project Weston Homes has undertaken to date."
