WEST HAM manager Sam Allardyce is set to step up his rebuilding operation by raiding his former club Newcastle and bringing their skipper Kevin Nolan to Upton Park, much to the distress of Joey Barton.

The former England international performed with distinction alongside Nolan last season and feels let down by the club’s board.

He wrote on Twitter: “Just on my way to Ascot, feel sick. #whatgoinonatthetoonffs [What’s going on at the Toon, for ***** sake]’.

He later added: “(Kevin is a) great player, leader, captain, person, trainer and mostly a friend for life. Devastated to see him SOLD! #mejoseandjonasnext [Me, Jose (Enrique) and Jonas (Gutierrez) next”.
