Buxmead, Hampstead

From £6.9m to £17m

Though it’s only recently been dubbed “Billionaire’s Row”, Bishops Avenue in north west London has housed media magnates, Saudi Princes and A-List celebrities in its gated mansions for over a century. Criticised in some circles for its empty homes, a rare new build development went on sale last week hoping to attract owner occupiers to the Row. Developer Harrison Varma unveiled 20 three to six bedroom apartments in a gated complex, comprising six duplexes, three penthouses and 11 apartments, set within 2.5 acres of landscaped grounds. Ranging from 3,000sqft to 7,000sqft, they all come with garages, some with gardens, but all have access to a residents’ bar, lounge, gym and spa with on-site nutritionists and personal trainers, and a 25m swimming pool that the developer claims is the largest in any residential development in London.

Morello, Croydon

From £342,000

Here’s an opportunity to jump in on Croydon before its new Westfield shopping centre arrives and the £1bn worth of new infrastructure is up and running. Redrow London’s Morello development launched 112 one to two bedroom apartments on to the market this week in its tallest building, an 18-storey tower called Rainier. It’s one of four connected buildings being sold as part of the scheme, with 297 one to three bedroom apartments and penthouses on the market in total. Around 60 per cent have already been sold.

Kensington Row, Kensington

From £1.575m

These high end homes at Kensington Row hope to set themselves apart by offering apartments that are around 1,700sqft. According to RIBA, this is 500sqft more than the London average, where space is still a hot commodity. Developer St Edward is releasing 83 one to four bedroom apartments for sale at Thomas Earle House – all with balconies or terraces. There are currently 41 left on the market and a one bed show apartment is open in St Edward’s development next door at 375 Kensington High Street.

Acton Gardens, South Acton

From £935,000

Traditionalists lured by the turn-key convenience of new builds might be intrigued by the first mews and townhouse collection released at Acton Gardens. A joint venture between developer Countryside and housing association L&Q, there are 13 four bedroom houses for sale in this west London suburb, which is due to get its own Crossrail line at the Acton main line station in 2019. The houses fit 1,300sqft of space over three or four floors, with a decked terrace or a garden, and they’re near The Hub, a new community centre.
