New homes on sale in London this weekend: from Elephant Park to private gardens designed by Andy Sturgeon

Elephant Park, Elephant & Castle

Studio to three bedroom apartments and penthouses have been released in the Highwood Gardens building. The release of 222 properties for sale is the latest chapter in Lend Lease’s Elephant Park development, which will build almost 2,500 new homes on 22 acres of land and create a new 2-acre public park. Most of the apartments will overlook the park and all of them have a terrace or balcony. Buyers will also have access to the West Grove Club, a private residents’ club with a gym.

190 Strand, Temple

Three townhouses are set to go on sale on 14 May at 190 Strand opposite St Clement Danes Church. The houses each have their own front doors and are split between two levels. They come with two or three bedrooms, ranging from 1,163sqft to 1,636sqft. Developer St Edward, a subsidiary of Berkeley Group has invested £500m turning a former 1960s office block into luxury homes, claiming its scheme is the largest of its kind in that are for 100 years. It’s due to be finished in 2017.

London City Island, Leamouth Peninsula

Be part of a new community on Leamouth Peninsula, a 12-acre stretch of land being re-christened London City Island by Maylaysian developer EcoWorld and London developer Ballymore. This weekend sees the release of 58 studio to four bedroom apartments at Emerald House. The site will eventually be home to 1,700 apartments, London Film School and English National Ballet, who are moving in in 2017. Ecoworld Ballymore is also building a 260ft red bridge across to Canning Town tube station and DLR.

Lillie Square, Earl’s Court

Six times Chelsea Flower Show gold medallist Andy Sturgeon has designed private gardens for 32 two bedroom duplexes set to go on sale on 14 May at the Lillie Square development in Earl’s Court. Set in four modern mansion blocks designed by architects at Paul Davis and Partners, the homes are called The Garden Collection, and each has a garden measuring up to 540sqft. Developers Capco and KFI are expecting first completions in 2018.

Miram House, Hadley Wood

From £1.75m to £3m

Six apartments are on sale at Miram House in the northern suburb of Enfield. Developer Artemi and Gibbs has created a mixture of two, three four bedroom apartments in private, landscaped gated grounds that back on to the Hadley Wood Golf Club and it’s an easily commutable location, too. Miram House is equidistant to Cockfosters and Hadley Wood Overground station, each around 30 minutes away from central London.
