New Builds: Help to Buy homes in Stanmore and Canning Town and luxury in west London

Stanmore Place, Stanmore

A new show apartment has opened in north west London to showcase the most luxe homes to go on sale at the Stanmore Place development yet. Despite this, there are still 21 of the new one to three bedroom apartments in the Royal Crescent collection that are available to purchase through Help to Buy London. Developed by St Edward, part of the Berkeley Group, there will be 798 new homes in total on the site and it’s close to Canons Park on the Jubilee Line.

The V, Chiswick

Just six homes are on sale in a new, contemporary apartment building in west London. Developer Edward Sunderland has built five two bedroom and one double bedroom home, all with balconies or “winter gardens” on Park Road, a tree-lined residential street bordering historic Chiswick House with its restored gardens, hoping to cash in on the popularity of the smart neighbourhood by the Thames. Westbourne Place, Maida Vale

Family homes are going on sale this weekend in a historic former police station in Maida Vale. Built in 1911, it was designed by John Dixon Butler, architect to the Metropolitan Police, and Grade II Listed in the 90s. Developer Redrow London has converted it into a collection of three bedroom apartments, while keeping the Victorian facade intact. There’s also a new extension to the rear with a courtyard and children’s play area, and Westbourne Park and Royal Oak Underground stations are nearby.

East City Point, Canning Town

Help to Buy homes on the most affordable stop on the Jubilee Line are on sale at East City Point, a development by Countryside, which is currently undergoing a £3.7bn regeneration, including a new £600m town centre and new schools by 2024. These are on sale in the Lexicon Terrace building, comprising one and two bedroom apartments, all with balconies or terraces; three bedroom three storey townhouses with private gardens; and two and three bedroom split-level “uberhauses” with outside space.

Prime Place, Maida Hill

One and two bedroom apartments are on sale in Zone Two in North West London. Just to the south of the desirable neighbourhood of Maida Vale, three of the homes are available through Help to Buy, with a 5 per cent deposit and a 40 per cent loan. Housed in a five storey building with natural brickwork and a courtyard, each home has a balcony or terrace and a new leisure centre is being built less than half a mile away. The 30-acre Queen’s Park is nearby as is the Tube at either Queen’s Park or Westbourne Park.
