NBA cancels first two weeks

BASKETBALL: A row between players and team owners over revenue share and salary caps has resulted in the cancellation of the first two weeks of the NBA regular season. Representatives from the players’ union and the teams’ owners met yesterday for extensive talks, but afterwards, NBA commissioner David Stern described the two sides as “very far apart on virtually all issues”.
