MPs’ expenses overhauled
MPs are facing a ban on claiming for a second home on expenses if their local railway station is less than an hour from Westminster, as part of new rules to be announced next week by Sir Christopher Kelly, chairman of the committee on Standards in Public Life. Other revisions will include bans on employing family members and on claiming for mortgage interest on second homes.
