Morrisons are getting hunks to help lift your Black Friday shopping

Morrisons will have dedicated strong men and women in stores on Black Friday to help you with your heaving bags.

Black Friday is set to be bigger than ever this year and has already started online, with several deals available with Amazon.

But Morrisons is going the extra mile to make sure shoppers can take advantage of cut-price products, the Yorkshire Post has reported.

A Morrisons spokesman said: "As part of Morrisons' 'Here to Help' initiative, each of the 492 stores will have a dedicated strongman or strongwoman – one of the fittest people in that store – who will be available throughout the day to lift heavy loads and help customers carry particularly heavy items to their cars."

It is not clear why a strongman or woman is required, given that you can normally put your shopping bags into a trolley and just wheel them to your car.

But customers who need assistance can call at Morrisons' customer service desk on Black Friday and request for a strongman to take their goods to their car.

Black Friday kicks off the most important season for retailers, as they seek to clock up impressive Christmas sales.

But not all the price reductions are all they seem. Amazon, for example, has been boasting about massive reductions on electrical products – but on some items, the sale price is the same as John Lewis' non-sale price.
