Monarch brings the Northern Lights to the Northern Line along with a giant igloo

The winter blues may be setting in for many, but Monarch has stepped in to cheer up the capital. Sort of.

For one day only it has brought the Northern Lights to King's Cross station, with a one-off installation outside the underground station.

Cabin crew are hosting the pop-up igloo which is open until 8pm tonight.

It's not quite the view you'd get in Norway, but Monarch's setup does offer an immersive 360-degree light show of the natural phenomenon. So there.

And visitors will also get the chance to sample treats from the current range of on-board drinks and snacks such as Brewdog craft beers.
