Mino Raiola: Juventus reveal staggering sum pocketed by Paul Pogba agent as part of Manchester United transfer

Paul Pogba agent Mino Raiola made an incredible €27m (£24m) from the French midfielder's transfer to Manchester United, Juventus have revealed.

The staggering commission negotiated by the super-agent who also counts United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan amongst his clients, was revealed by Juventus chief executive Beppe Marotta at the club's AGM on Tuesday.

Marotta said that the Italian champions would take home €72m from the Pogba sale once Raiola's cut was excluded from the €105m paid by United, meaning the 48-year-old made more from the deal than the entire transfer fees paid by Manchester City for Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito or Claudio Bravo.

Juventus were obliged to pay Raiola the huge sum due to a clause he inserted into Pogba's contract in Turin.

Marotta told fans that the club had no choice but to sell such was the strength of Pogba's desire to join United.

"He arrived from United and after four years with us he decided to return to England," said Marotta.

"He wanted to leave at all costs. The price tag we asked was €105m plus €5m bonus in the case that the player renews his contract with the club or is sold for more than €50m.

"We made around €95m. Mino Raiola, his representative, will be paid €27m. Net profit on Pogba is around €72m. We didn't want to sell him. We wanted him to put roots down at Juventus."
