McCartney to design Team GB kit

OLYMPICS: Fashion designer Stella McCartney has been picked to design British athletes’ kit for the London 2012 Games.

McCartney will also oversee a range of leisurewear for fans, after being appointed creative director for the project by Team GB sponsors Adidas.

The 38-year-old called it “an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”, adding: “I have a million challenges. I have to make it look good, I have to make it feel good and I have to make it work technically.”
