Maximum excitement on player card minutes

A SHOCKING start to the season – by their standards at least – shows just why Jose Mourinho sent his SOS to John Stones.

With Everton standing firm and refusing to sell their prize asset, the centre back will be at the centre of attention when the Toffees welcome Chelsea to Goodison Park tomorrow lunchtime.

Can he deal with the pressure?

With Sporting Index there are a number of markets on offer that allow punters to predict how he will perform.

A particularly interesting one could be player card minutes, which is an estimation of the total number of booking minutes accrued.

Stones, who hasn’t been booked this season, is trading at 7-11 minutes.

If that record ends and he is cautioned in the 50th minute, for example, his result would be 50.

Punters buying at 11 would make 39 times their stake and those selling at 7 would lose 43 times their stake.

No booking sees the market settle at 0 and red cards result in the minute points doubling.

In contrast to the former Barnsley man’s good behaviour, John Terry has already picked up a red and a yellow card this term.

Having served his suspension against Crystal Palace, he’s in line for a return and Sporting Index offer his card minutes at 8-12.

Another Chelsea defender who has had his share of disciplinary issues is Branislav Ivanovic.

The Serb’s card minutes can be bought at 24, the same quote as teammates Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic.
