Mancini claims City are down to bare bones

MANCHESTER CITY manager Roberto Mancini admits he’s frustrated at being denied the opportunity to strengthen his side in the transfer window by the club’s owners.
City’s squad has been ravaged by injury ahead of tonight’s Carling Cup semi-final first leg and Mancini also learned yesterday that Vincent Kompany will serve a four-game ban after the defender’s appeal against the red card he received against Manchester United was rejected.
“We have players injured at a crucial time. I’m not happy but we can’t do anything about it,” said Mancini.
