FOOTBALL: Indian billionaire Vijay Mallya is in talks to buy a share of Queens Park Rangers – a move which could finally bring an end to Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone’s involvement with the club.

Mallya, who owns Kingfisher Airlines and the Force India Formula One team, was linked with a similar move two years ago, but is expected to be successful this time in ousting Briatore and Ecclestone, who want to sever ties with the club.
