Make a stylish statement with this season’s winter coats

JOHN Lewis today announced some shocking news – sales of winter coats have shot up as a result of the current cold snap. Once you’ve recovered from this mind-bending news, you may realise that you are, in fact, one of the (shivering) women that are still without a proper coat for winter. If you’re holding back because you don’t want to acquire yet another coat that seems boring after one season, you need not worry. You can be stylish or statement-making – and smart – in equal measure. The easiest way to do this is by going for a bright colour in a tidy, traditional cut. The white Jill Sander coat is a brilliant way to be chic but understated – simple cut and colour with one unique feature to make people stop and think: “Hey, that woman’s damn cool.”
