WEST Ham returned to winning ways last night with goals from strikers Nicky Maynard and Modibo Maiga.

Following his 34th-minute opener – a simple finish from Ricardo Vaz Te’s cross – Maynard refused to celebrate against his former side.

New signing Maiga’s goal then came in the 55th minute when pouncing on the rebound after goalkeeper Alan Martin could not hold captain Kevin Nolan’s shot.
