FOOTBALL: Wales and Cardiff City striker Craig Bellamy has been arrested by police investigating an alleged assault in Cardiff city centre. Bellamy, 31, has been bailed pending further inquiries.

FOOTBALL: Uefa president Michel Platini has called for the 2022 World Cup to be played across the whole of the Gulf. Qatar will host the 2022 tournament with Fifa boss Sepp Blatter keen to hold it in winter. “I hope it will be a World Cup of the Gulf,” said Platini.
