FITNESS & DIET EXPERT

LEFT it until the week before your holiday to tackle the Magnum/Magners muffin top? Here’s my three day countdown that will leave you looking and feeling buff in your swimming shorts.

DO A DETOX
A healthy detox is one of the better ways to drop weight drastically in the 72 hr run-up to your holiday. One of my faves is Nosh Detox’s BST (Body Smooth & Tone) food delivery package. While delights such as mung bean salad and Virgin Mary Smoothies may sound a bit virtuous, this is a food and juice plan that’ll have you dropping pounds in double time without compromising your health. noshdetoxdelivery.com

PUMP SOME IRON
A little short, sharp burst of resistance exercise will pump blood to the surface giving you a last minute ripped look. Try the scorpion push up as a 4-in-1 killer move – it works chest, arms, abs and glutes. Get in push-up position with knees on ground (or stay on toes). Lift your right leg with knee bent. Keep your leg raised as you bend elbows and lower chest toward ground. Push up and repeat. Do 16 to 20 reps; switch legs halfway through set. Do every 48 hrs until you’re on that flight home.

BANISH THE BLOAT
Ditch the beer. Vodka and slimline mixer have a third of the calories as a pint of beer. Stay off yeasty, high cal pizzas to prevent big time takeaway bloat, and practise tummy pulling-in (navel to spine Pilates-style, that is, not holding your breath indefinitely).

ENLIST A HELPING HAND
When I first heard there was a product called “Crash Diet Sticks” I was horrified. Then I researched this diet aid from Rodial and now I’m happy to give it the LW seal of approval. Rev your metabolism and keep sugar cravings to a minimum before and during your holiday with these brilliant little sachets. From Space NKspacenk.co.uk).
