Landslide in Barnehurst brings Southeastern trains to a halt

A landslide at Barnehurst last night has brought Southeastern services between Dartford and London to a halt.

The train operator said this morning there was no service running between Dartford and Lewisham via Bexleyheath, meaning trains were not running to London Charing Cross and Cannon Street this morning.

Some trains will be diverted via Sidcup or Woolwich Arsenal, however many are being cancelled and commuters are being advised to seek alternative routes.

"A very limited replacement bus service will run between Dartford and Lewisham via Bexleyheath but your journey may be quicker by travelling via an alternative route," Southeastern said this morning.

Customers are able to use their tickets on London Buses between Dartford and Lewisham to complete their journey and to travel to Woolwich line or Sidcup line stations.

"We are very sorry for the disruption to your journey today and are working with Network Rail to have the line open as soon as possible."
