TOYOTA driver Timo Glock has been ruled out of the season’s final race in Abu Dhabi as he is still suffering from a back injury.

The German cracked a vertebra during qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix earlier this month and the team do not want to risk him driving again too soon.

Japanese racer Kamui Kobayashi, who stood in for Glock in the last race in Brazil, will again deputise.

Toyota team president Josh Howett said: “We feel genuinely sorry for Timo that his season, which has included two impressive podium finishes, is ending in this way.”
