Kauto on track for Cheltenham

Two-time winner Kauto Star’s bid for a third Cheltenham Gold Cup received a boost yesterday when he completed an encouraging canter. Trainer Paul Nicholls last week rated him only 50-50 for the race on 16 March following a fall in schooling. But he said: “All was fine. We will look to step up his work next week.”
