Jupiter finance chief Charlotte Jones moves to insurer RSA

Jupiter Fund Management chief financial officer Charlotte Jones has been poached by FTSE 100 insurance group RSA.

The fund management firm said Jones’ departure to join RSA in the same role after three years was “disappointing”.

Jones, who already sits on the RSA board as a non-executive director, will take up her new role in August this year, replacing Scott Egan who moved to become chief executive of RSA’s UK and International Division earlier this month.

The announcement comes days before Jupiter chief executive Maarten Slendebroek is due to step down.

The company announced that Slendebroek would be replaced by former Janus Henderson boss Andrew Formica two years earlier than planned

Slendebroek said: “Charlotte has been a valued colleague since joining Jupiter in 2016 and I would like to take this opportunity to thank her, on behalf of the board, for her commitment and contribution during this time.

“It is always disappointing to lose someone of Charlotte’s calibre, but I understand that a move to a FTSE 100 CFO role is a great opportunity and I wish her all the best.”

Jupiter has begun the search for a new chief financial officer.
