Sporting Index have priced up a host of match bets on this afternoon’s racing and there are not many better ways of opposing horses you don’t fancy. Basically, they pick two horses in any race and make a prediction on what the distance between the pair will be as they cross the line. The maximum make-up is set at 15 lengths so you don’t have to worry about being beaten half the length of the Cotswolds!
The one match bet I am keen on this afternoon is buying Forpadydeplasterer against Big Zeb at ¾ length in the Champion Chase. I fancy last year’s Arkle winner to emerge on top even if Big Zeb stays on his feet, which is a big if!
Of the others on offer, Long Run is expected to finish around a length in front of Punchestowns which looks a tempting buy – although I am a little worried about his jumping. The only other match that catches the eye is selling Reve de Sivola at 1 length against Irish raider Summit Meeting. I’m not sure the ground will be soft enough to see him at his best.
