COULDN’T you just look at it all day? The MOTOROLA XOOM™, the world’s first Android 3.0 tablet has landed in SELFRIDGES London and already the excitement is palpable among tablet fans.

Motorola XOOM is fresh from winning the coveted “Best of Consumer Electronics” 2011 award and comes packed with features. It’s strong, fast and features a 10.1” HD widescreen display, a 1GHz dual core processor and 1GB RAM, a whopping 32GB of internal storage, not to mention native USB support, and built-in HDMI connectivity.

Users can make film clips, chat live on its built in video camera, share photos and dive in to movies. Most exciting of all is the XOOM’s Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) operating system. In other words, this beauty has been designed specifically for tablet use and allows for a new “floating” multi-finger use interface with live widgets so that information is streamed straight to your home screen.

It’s also compatible with all Google apps, such as Gmail, Google, Google Maps and Calendar (not least Google Maps 5.0 with 3D interaction).

Then there’s the screen, all 10.1 inches of high definition wonder, making movies a whole new experience (thanks to its high quality speakers). The device features a full HD camcorder and 5MP camera on which you can take pictures and make videos, view them on screen and post them straight on to YouTube, Picasa and Facebook. The 2MP webcam, meanwhile, allows for video calling to connect with friends.

Gaming hits a new level on the Motorola XOOM, with a 3D graphics engine that delivers smooth, incredible imagery with a built in gyroscope and accelerometer that enables you to play all the most exciting new games from the Android Market.

Motorola XOOM is available with 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, and there is a Wi-Fi only edition coming soon.

Whichever version you opt for, the unlimited web browsing is one of its biggest benefits. Visit any website and it will work seamlessly (it supports a beta of Adobe® Flash® Player 10.2 downloadable from Android Market).

Go to SELFRIDGES London (Technology Hall, Lower Ground Floor) and experience Motorola XOOM for yourself.
