Tesco meal deal now offers Heineken and Corona

It needn’t be a can of Coke next time you pop to the supermarket for a cheap lunch – Corona and Heineken have been added as drinks included in the Tesco meal deal.

Granted, they’re the zero-alcohol versions, but still, it feels like a hedonistic lunchtime treat. Independent London brewer Lucky Saint is the third alcohol free beer option available through the Tesco meal deal.

Walk into selected branches of Tesco in London and the beer cans sit in the fridge under the luminous yellow ‘meal deal’ sign.

Tesco meal deal: Corona and Heineken for lunch

The Tesco meal deal is £4.25 or £3.85 with a Clubcard and (famously) includes a sandwich, wrap or salad, a drink, which can be water, a soft drink or increasingly kombucha, as well as a snack which is often a chocolate bar, crisps or fruit.

Corona and Heineken zero have become two of the leading alcohol free products on the UK market. Corona features in many of the best alcohol free beer lists, including for industry watchdog Which?.

Heineken 0.0 is the world’s leading international alcohol free beer brand, holding 18 per cent of the global alcohol free beer market. It is available in 117 countries.

The alcohol free market is estimated to be worth around $13.7 billion as global trends still indicate a reduction in alcohol acros all ages, although particularly in Gen Z.

44 per cent of UK drinkers take alcohol free or low alcohol products to moderate their alcohol use.

Last January, our Life&Style Editor Adam Bloodworth tried a different alcohol free drink every day of Dry January. Here are the 31 different drinks he tried.

Tom Holland, star of Spider-Man, has launched his own British alcohol free beer brand, Bero. During a panel event between Bero, Wimbledon and Chase Travel chaired by City PM, Holland told us he went sober as he became “really passionate about this idea of bettering my life, self help and wellness, so it felt like a perfect fit.”

“People are exercising more, focusing on their health, and you know, it’s a slight contradiction to do all those things – to go to the gym, eat healthy – and then drink 25 beers in the evening.”

Where to find it

It is believed that Tesco is rolling out the alcohol free meal deal options across the country. First reports of the new ranges were at the tail end of 2025. We’ve spotted the options in a number of stores around the capital.
