Hong Kong Horse Racing Tips: Super Turbo can get better of rivals and speed to glory

THERE is no doubt the final race on the card at 2.50pm is a mouth-watering clash between some of the fastest handicap sprinters in Happy Valley.

The old adage of “blink and you’ll miss it” will certainly spring to mind as a dozen of these speedsters leave the stalls at a frenetic pace and complete the six-furlong dash in under 70 seconds.

With the likes of prolific winner Country Star, up 48lbs in the ratings after five wins this season, the highly progressive hat-trick seeking Music Addition, Storm Signal, and fast-starting bottom weights Handsome Bo Bo and Speed Vision in opposition, the early pace is guaranteed to be red-hot, with jockeys vying to get a good early position.

Luck is guaranteed to play an important role in the result, so it may pay to take a chance with long shot SUPER TURBO who should finally get the fast-run race he craves.

The distinctive grey has already won four times over course and distance, but hasn’t really fired this season, often finishing fast but too late.

However, there are reasons to believe he could bounce back to form in a race run to suit at rewarding odds.

Consider the following factors: he’s equipped with blinkers for the first time, the early fast pace will be to his advantage, his body-weight is identical to his last victory, a low draw is a plus, his last win was recorded on the ‘A’ course, and his rating is near to his last winning mark.

Here’s hoping, once all these ingredients are put into the pot, he emerges as the winner!
