ARSENAL face another tie against top-half Premier League opposition in their bid to get to Wembley this season, having drawn a home match versus Everton in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The Gunners overcame rivals Tottenham and Liverpool on their way to the last eight, either side of a fourth-round victory over League One Coventry City. The clash against Everton is scheduled for the weekend of 7-10 March.

Meanwhile fellow Londoners Charlton Athletic will make a second trip to Sheffield if they can get past Sheffield Wednesday in a game that had to be postponed over the weekend. The winners of that tie will face Sheffield United in the next round. The Blades, of League One, beat Championship side Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Bramall Lane yesterday.

The quarter-finals will also see a repeat of last year’s final, with the holders Wigan Athletic set to play Manchester City for the first time since they heroically defeated the top-flight giants 1-0 at Wembley last May. The game is the Latics’ reward for Saturday’s 2-1 victory away at Cardiff, which was followed by City’s 2-0 victory at home to Chelsea.

In the final draw of the round, either Brighton or Hull will host Sunderland. Steve Bruce’s side travel to the south coast tonight, looking to extend their run.

QUARTER-FINAL DRAW

Ties scheduled for 7-10 March
■ Arsenal v Everton

■ Brighton & Hove Albion or Hull City v Sunderland

■ Sheffield United v Sheffield Wednesday or Charlton Athletic

■ Manchester City v Wigan Athletic
