Google set to unveil a wearable future

Tonight at 5pm Google will show off its latest software at its annual I/O Conference for developers in San Francisco.

Last year, Google used the event to unveil a redesigned Google Maps, launch its Google Play streaming music service and announce that Android has shipped on 900m devices.

Tonight, Google is expected to focus on wearable tech.

Software in development to run smartwatches, with a watch from Samsung expected to launch

2 GOOGLE GLASS
Google’s eyewear launched in the UK on Monday and is likely to be updated with new features and possibly new hardware

3 ANDROID LOLLIPOP
Despite the attention on wearables, Google is likely to redesign its popular smartphone software
