Gomes set for Spurs return
FOOTBALL: Out of favour Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes will return to the starting line-up tonight for the first time since being relegated to third choice against Stoke in the Carling Cup. The Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order since the summer arrival of Brad Friedel. “I don’t think he is happy here, we don’t want to kid ourselves,” said Redknapp. “He wants to play in the World Cup in Brazil. Obviously to do that he needs to be playing so it’s going to be a problem.” Defender William Gallas and midfielder Sandro are also in line for their first starts of the season after recovering from injury.
