Going Dutch: UK investment in Netherlands soars since Brexit referendum
UK investments in the Netherlands have jumped more than four-fold to €80bn (£72bn) since the Brexit referendum in 2016, the Dutch statistics office said today.
In the same period, Dutch investments in the UK fell from €50bn to negative €11bn as Brexit uncertainty led to capital outflows.

In 2018, the UK was the largest foreign investor in the Netherlands, Statistics Netherlands said.
In 2016, there were 1,310 subsidiaries of UK multinationals based in the Netherlands employing 114,000 people.
Last month The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) said almost 100 companies had already moved some business to the Netherlands, with 325 more expressing an interest in relocating to the country to lessen the impact of Brexit.

Companies such as Bloomberg, Discovery and UK P&I have already relocated some business from the UK to the Netherlands.
The agency said it expected further companies to make the switch in the coming months.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has promised to take the UK out of the EU on 31 October with or without an exit deal.
