General Election 2015: Bookie claims Ed Miliband will (still) be in Number 10 when Hillary Clinton becomes US President

This bookie is offering odds of 1/1 for Hillary Clinton to be US President.

Not only that, Betway definitely expects Ed Miliband to be in 10 Downing Street when she is inaugurated, offering 3/1 odds that he'll be Prime Minister when she's sworn in on January 20, 2017 – despite fears that a hung parliament could lead to the next government being disbanded early on.

A Labour minority is the favourite outcome of the General Election on May 7, at 17/10. The odds of a Conservative minority stand at 13/5.

Clinton does have some competition in the form of Republican rival Jeb Bush, who is 4/1. Wisconsin governor Scott Walker and Florida senator Marco Rubio both stand on 11/1 odds, while Mitt Romney is 25/1 to win the 2016 race.

Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren has better odds at 18/1 – despite the fact she hasn't even announced her plans to run yet.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “The Conservatives have tried just about everything in the election campaign and yet Ed Miliband’s prospects of entering Number 10 continue to improve by the day. Even his personal approval rating is now within touching distance of David Cameron’s – unthinkable a short while ago.”

“Few expected the 2010 coalition to last, but we expect Miliband to hold the next government together to see Hillary Clinton anointed in early 2017.”

That means any coalition will have to last 640 days. A very long time in politics.
