SWIMMING: British teenager Ellen Gandy claimed silver in the 200m butterfly at the Fina World Championships yesterday. The 19-year-old was edged out in Shanghai by home favourite Jiao Liuyang, while team-mate Jemma Lowe was fourth. Fourteen-time Olympic gold medallist Michael Phelps, meanwhile, was beaten in the 200m individual medley by fellow American Ryan Lochte, who also broke his own world record.
