FuturePlus, the online sustainability measurement platform, has announced an exciting new sustainability partnership with electric vehicle (EV) technology start-up Diode – which will make switching to EV smarter, easier and more affordable.

‘FuturePlus powered by Diode’ will see the innovative British technology companies work together to provide an easy-to-use solution for organisations to make a faster, easier switch to electric vehicles – whether that’s their company fleet or the private vehicles of their workforce.

The partnership will allow FuturePlus members and their employees to use the Diode platform to understand the environmental benefits of switching to EV and make that switch easier. With the 2030 ban on the sale of petrol and diesel cars looming closer, ‘FuturePlus powered by Diode’ aims to reduce the friction of conversion to EV in a cost-effective and practical way.

FuturePlus is an online sustainability self-management tool that transforms the way organisations understand and action their sustainability goals. Created by The Sustainability Group, FuturePlus is one of the most comprehensive and wide-ranging impact measurement systems available.

Diode specialises in electric vehicle suitability assessments, home and workplace charging infrastructure recommendations, and charge point procurement.

FuturePlus members’ employees will have access to Diode’s clever driver survey to collect data and give them an instant EV Readiness Report. The report is packed with information on access to charging and costs, including a clear picture of what their reduction in CO2 would be if they were to make the switch.

For the employer, the data is aggregated to show how many charge points are required both at home and the workplace, and the overall potential CO2 reduction over a five-year transition timeline.
