Fulham face keeper crisis

FULHAM boss Roy Hodgson is sweating on a goalkeeper injury crisis ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash against Basel.

Mark Schwarzer and Pascal Zuberbuhler are the only stoppers fit, but the latter is not registered to play.

Hodgson has made a late request to Uefa to allow the Swiss to face his former club. “Otherwise,” Hodgson said, “we’ll be in serious trouble as we don’t have any other keepers.”

Everton, meanwhile, are without nine first team players for tonight’s Europa League fixture against BATE Borisov in Belarus.

Midfielder Jack Rodwell is the latest to miss out after a bout of flu, joining Steven Pienaar, Phil Jagielka, Mikel Arteta, Phil Neville and Victor Anichebe on the sidelines.

New signings John Heitinga and Lucas Neill are ineligible, while Louis Saha is suspended.
