How do you remember, remember the fifth of November? With a spectacular fireworks display, of course.
But what do you do if you’ve forgotten, forgotten the fifth of November and haven’t bought a ticket yet? We’ve rounded up all the free bonfire nights in London so you get a chance to catch some Guy Fawkes action.
Blackheath Fireworks
Saturday
The Blackheath Fireworks night is one of the biggest free community displays in London, and attracts as many as 100,000 people every year. A funfair opens at 12pm, food stalls and bars begin serving at 5pm, and the main event kicks off at 8pm.
You are advised to avoid driving to the event due to lack of parking spaces. Donations towards the costs of running the event are welcomed – you can do so online, or in person on the night.

The Great Fire of London Fireworks – Victoria Park
Sunday
This celebration will be to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London, and will be hosted by the Mayor of Tower Hamlets John Biggs. The sparkling display will begins at 7pm, but you can keep warm with some food and drink – stalls open from 6pm.
East Village Fireworks – Victory Park, E20
Friday
You don’t want to miss this pyrotechnic extravaganza – the display will take place above the former Athletes’ Village, by the company which performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympics. Food and drink will be offered via stalls selling street food, and also by local restaurants which will stay open. The event kicks off from 6:30pm.
Waltham Forest, Chestnuts Field
Friday
This spectacular display will light the evening sky from 8pm, and also includes a range of food stalls, bars serving an array of beverages, and a funfair for all ages. This event has proven to be very popular in the past, so arrive early to avoid disappointment – gates open at 6:30pm.
Brent, Wembley Park
Sunday
Coming to Wembley Park for the first time, this family event will take place at and around Arena Square. You can enjoy vibrant street entertainment and tuck into treats from food stalls, then enjoy the glittering display above Wembley Stadium from 6:30pm.
Wanstead Flats
Saturday
Hosted by Heart Radio DJ and presenter, Roberto, this is set to be one of the biggest ever Guy Fawkes Night celebrations. The fireworks will be choreographed to popular soundtracks, and will light up the night from 7:30pm. Gates open at 5.30pm, so you can grab food and drinks while you wait.

Brockham Village
Saturday
Go along and make some new friends at one of the largest firework displays in Surrey. It is traditionally a “family” night of fun and celebration to raise funds for local societies, worthy causes and local charities.
It's advised you allow plenty of time to get to the event, as the village is expected to become extremely busy. A voluntary donation is asked to support the various local charities and societies, and the display kicks off at 20:15pm.
