Foreign owners will take games abroad – Harry
TOTTENHAM manager Harry Redknapp has warned that the growing influence of foreign owners is likely to lead to Premier League games being played abroad.
Overseas owners have been accused of wanting to make radical changes to English football, notably changing the way broadcast cash is divided and even scrapping relegation.
Redknapp, whose side face Rubin Kazan tonight in the Europa League, said: “You can’t have too many foreign owners coming in here wanting to change our game. Eventually, you will end up playing loads of games around the world. That will happen.”
Spurs have just two fit central defenders – Sebastien Bassong and Younes Kaboul – for the visit of the Russians, but Ledley King’s muscle tear is not as bad as first feared.
