Football Betting Tips: Spurs to cement top-four spot with a Hammers win

TOTTENHAM will have one eye on next week’s Champions League semi-final against Ajax, but first they must see off West Ham this weekend to go one step closer to securing a top-four spot.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men sit third in the table, ahead of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, and it would be a surprise to see them throw it away now.

There’s a feel-good factor at Spurs since the move to their new stadium, and the north London side have yet to concede a goal at their new home.

A win against Manchester City in the Champions League was followed by a thrashing of Huddersfield and a dramatic late victory over Brighton in domestic action.

The Harry Kane-shaped hole that Spurs fans might have worried about has been filled by some excellent performances from his team-mates to keep their season going.

Son Heung-Min, Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen have all stepped up to share the workload while their talisman is out, which is a sign of squad depth and class.

West Ham stand in the way of Spurs’ 100 per cent record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but their away form has left a lot to be desired.

Their last victory on the road in the Premier League came at Southampton, and they have now gone eight games without a win away from home.

That said, the Hammers caused Manchester Utd a scare at Old Trafford and goals haven’t been a problem this season.

Spurs seem unstoppable at home, but West Ham could grab a goal, so Tottenham and both teams to score at 9/5 looks a good bet.
