SUNDAY LUNCH AT BOCCA DI LUPO
Forget pub lunch on a Sunday. Head to Soho for Bocca di Lupo’s new “pasta al forno” menu, featuring authentic baked pasta dishes. Think lasagne bolognese, melanzane Parmigiana, pasta con lumache (pasta baked with snails and pecorino), scamorza and pesto lasagne and bavette with spider crab (baked together in the shell). Bangers and mash? No thanks. Dishes from £8. 12 Archer Street, off Rupert Street, W1D 7BB, tel 020 7734 2223.

ELECTION PARTY AT CAFE ANGLAIS
Rowley Leigh’s beloved restaurant will ensure you weather the election with good food in your belly. Two large screens at either end of the room will take care of the politics: as for you, it’s a three-course dinner (finished with something called Cabinet Pudding – a pannacotta) and breakfast. Price includes an aperitif too. £65, bookings from 9pm. 8 Porchester Gardens, W2 4DB, tel: 020 7221 1415.
