FAN’S VIEW

This is good news for all Fulham fans everywhere. You never know what’s around the corner – we weren’t exactly going ballistic when we got Roy Hodgson but that proved a perfect appointment, and on the face of it this seems to be another one.

The quality of the last three managers indicates the way Fulham are going. We’ve come so far in a short space of time from the absolute dregs of football, and now you can’t argue that we aren’t an established Premier League side. We’ve got to a European final, we’ve had a seventh place and now an eighth place.

A lot is to do with the state of the Premier League – there’s a lot of middling sides there – but given that, there’s no reason to think that if we do improve on last year then we couldn’t be knocking on the door of the top six.
