DISMAL MURRAY CRASHES OUT

BRITISH No1 Andy Murray got his clay-court season off to the worst possible start after crashing out of the Monte Carlo Masters with a humiliating defeat to Philipp Kohlschreiber. Murray, the world No4, made several unforced errors before going down 6-2, 6-1 to the German. “I wasn’t very good today,” Murray admitted. “It was the first time in years that the court felt so small.”
