Digital marketing company Be Heard is targeting more acquisitions after reporting its results for the first half of 2016 today.

The company, which acquired MMT Digital for £20.5m earlier this year and Agenda21 last year, today reported turnover for the period of £14.7m.

Clients won during the period included Vodafone, BDO, Wiltshire Farm Foods and Mr & Mrs Smith.

Executive chairman Peter Scott told City PM that two clients delayed projects after the EU referendum but have now returned.

“We had a couple of projects delayed in the immediate aftermath when everybody was, I think, looking for a compass,” he said.

“They came back two or three months later, but they were postponements, not cancellations. So apart from that initial uncertainty everything is very stable and business as usual.”

Asked what Be Heard’s plans for the next year are, Scott said: “We are more and more excited every day at the scale of the opportunity to build a mid-sized marketing-services group.”

It is his ambition to buy and build Be Heard into a £100m-revenue company in the next three to four years.

Be Heard’s share price fell six per cent to 3.8p after reporting its results today.
